Traveling with a Baby

We're about to embark on a true adventure. Tomorrow will be Noah's first time on a plane. I have a million things going through my head, thinking about all the stuff we need and everything that needs to be taken care of before we go. To top it off, our flight leaves at 6:00 am!! I'm not looking forward to waking little Noah up at 4:00 in the morning after my own, what I'm sure will be short and restless, night of sleep. We might be in for a rough day. I know we'll survive and we can buy anything we need when we reach our destination, but all the "what-if" scenarios keep playing over in my head. So I'm doing my best to hope for the scenario of what if Noah takes it all in stride, sleeps and eats without a problem, poops his normal (solid) poops and does it all with a smile on his face. A mom can hope, can't she?

Whatever might happen, it will be worth it. Noah will get to visit Texas and meet so many new people. And I'm really looking forward to seeing family and friends, many of whom I haven't seen in years. Yep, it'll definitely be worth it.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!! It's Billy's first Father's Day! Unfortunately, he spent a long weekend in Vegas with "the guys" so he wasn't here to celebrate with Noah. His flight back was supposed to land in Charleston around midnight, but we all know how it is with airlines. Rarely does a flight leave on time, and if you do leave on time, the luggage probably isn't leaving with you. So he is still in Vegas. He has been deplaned and is waiting for further information, but it looks like he won't be back until tomorrow. Even though he wasn't here to celebrate with us, we decided to do a little something nice for him anyway. After all, he is a great dad!

Noah Overload!!!

Noah is now 7 months old. I don't know where the time has gone, but it's gone. He's eating solids - fruits and veggies - like a champ! He has two teeth. He sits up on his own. He's even scooted a couple of times. He laughs a lot and it's the best sound in the world. We are having such a great time with this little guy! Here are some pics from the last few months. Then there is a smilebox with pics from his 6 month photo shoot. The last thing is a smilebox with his most recent pictures and videos. This is definitely Noah overload, but I'm making up for lost time and I can't resist showing him off. He's just so darn adorable.

Trying it out...

I know a bunch of people who are bloggers, and even though I usually don't have a whole lot to say, I figured I'd give this a try. We are far away from so many family and friends that I want to have an easy way to keep everyone updated, at least those of you who are interested. I kept a babysite for Noah updated for a few months, but started slacking there, so I'm hoping I can be more active on here. Blogging, here I come!
